Pre-compressed foam tape for exterior use. The CONTEGA FIDEN EXO pre-compressed foam tape ensures an exterior joint that is vapor-permeable and driving rainproof for building joinery. Roughly remove dirt and dust from the joint. Masonry installation surfaces must, if necessary, be leveled with cement mortar. The edges of joinery frames must be clean. Bonding is not possible on substrates covered with a thin layer of ice. Materials to be coated must not be covered with non-stick substances (e.g., grease or silicone). They must be sufficiently dry and solid. Durable adhesion is achieved on planed and varnished wooden joinery and on PVC joinery. Surfaces must not be non-stick. The best results in terms of wall protection are obtained on high-quality substrates. It is up to the user to verify the suitability of the substrate; if necessary, we recommend conducting adhesion tests.
